Have you counted the months until spring of 2019 arrives? If so, you have more than likely realized that it's not a bit too early to work on your landscape design for the new year. From adding a new patio to the backyard to arranging for fence contractor services, here are some ideas that might help you.

A New Patio

Last year, did you visit a friend or extended family member's home, where you were entertained royally on their outdoor patio? If so, you might have been considering the addition of a patio to your backyard. Perhaps you have a small area where you cook on a grill, but you want an extended outdoor kitchen area and a nicer place where you can have meals with your friends and family members.

Think of how you want to set up your new patio area. For example, if you are adding an outdoor kitchen, consider what you need to purchase. Think of copy-catting the inside kitchen by including a small refrigerator, a sink, and a stove top in addition to a larger grill or a brick pizza oven. And, don't forget to include storage space in the patio area.  If you'll be hosting large groups, think of buying a large patio table and adding benches and occasional chairs that can be pulled up to the table.

A New Fence

Perhaps you want to add an element of safety along with a beautiful new look to your 2019 landscaping. If so, you might be considering the addition of a fence. What kind of a fence do you want? For example, if you have a ranch-style home or a home that reminds you of an Italian villa or a Mexican hacienda, you might want to select a wrought iron fence. If you have a traditional home, you might want something like a white wooden fence.

No matter the type of fence that you purchase, the main gate will more than likely be the focal point of your fence. Think of how you want it to stand out. For example, if you selected a wrought iron fence, you might want to choose a gate that has something like an intricate floral pattern as the main design. If you selected a white wooden fence, consider adding the first initial of your last name to the design of the gate. The contractor you select will have the experience and the training to advise you on the best fence for your house.
